When I tell you I have been CRAVING a good warm brownie out of the oven with some ice cream on top, this hit the spot! When I was talking to a co worker last week and she mentioned wanting the same thing, I knew that was my sign to make it! It was predestined for this blog!!!
When I started thinking about a recipe for a good brownie, I went straight to the old photo albums full of recipes and found the best one! I think this one was a ball park home run!!!! Honestly, the best brownie I have had to date. It has such a chewy edge and center with a slight crunch on top, gosh, I will be dreaming of this daily!!! (Swipe to the end to see my combo!)
The best part of this recipe, is that it comes together in 5 minutes! The easiest and best brownies that will be sure to please the family!
I will say, next time I do want to add in some chocolate chips, even though this recipe is divine without them. I just want to do a comparison! Will report back!

1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
Stir cocoa and baking soda into a mixing bowl.
Blend in 1/3 cup vegetable oil.

Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup of vegetable oil. Stir until smooth.
Add flour, vanilla and salt. Blend completely.
Pout into lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan or two 8″ square pans.
Bake at 350* for 35-40 min (13 x 9 pan) or 30-32 min for 8″ square pans.
Cool. Frost if desired.

I really wanted vanilla ice cream, like real bad. I did not/could not find any vanilla anywhere in this house!!! So I made due with what I had! Chocolate it was and it was actually not that bad. Not exactly what my palate wanted, but delicious nonetheless! 10/10 will do again and do recommend!

This was the picture of the cocoa that was a part of the recipe, if that’s any indication as to how old this recipe is. My best guess, from the 80s!
Happy Baking Friends,
XOXO, Cori
